Rebranding Instructions

FunkyHuawei allows you to rebrand (change the model and region) of all recent Huawei phones, by using our FunkyHuawei Rebrand Tool (FHRebrandTool).

Note: Phones which ship with EMUI 9 and Kirin 980 Processor such as Mate 20, Mate 20 Pro, Mate 20 X, Honor Magic 2 are NOT compatible.

Note: Bootloader unlock required. see here for ways to obtain the code.

Note: Phone must be on EMUI 8 or higher to be compatible.

Instructions:

1. Buy credits. Make sure you have at least 7 credits in your account.
2. Make sure your phone is in working condition.
3. Download FHRebrandTool2 from here.
4. If you want to convert a single-sim phone to dual sim, use FHRebrandTool2_DualSim from HERE. Note that rebranding single sim to dual sim with this version of the tool will cause your bootloader to be locked, and your unlock code to change. You may not be able to unlock the bootloader in the future.
5. Extract the ZIP file onto your computer's disk.
6. Turn off your phone.
7. While holding the volume down button on your phone, connect the USB cable from your phone to your computer.
8. If you have not already unlocked your bootloader, unlock it. You can do it with the fastboot command: fastboot.exe oem unlock CODE replacing CODE with your code.
9. Open FHRebrandTool2.exe
10. Choose the model of phone you wish to rebrand to. If it is not listed, choose to enter it manually.
    Manual entry examples: BKL-L09 for international Honor V10. MHA-AL00 for Chinese Mate 9. BLA-L09 for Single-Sim Mate 10 Pro.

11. Choose the region of the phone you wish to rebrand to. If it is not listed, choose Option 8 and enter it manually.
    Manual entry examples: porsche/normal for Porsche Mate 9/10 Pro. vodafone/es for Vodafone Spain.

12. Follow the instructions on the screen, confirm that everything is right. When it asks you, reboot your phone while holding volume up button without usb cable connected. Then when you see either a 'Connect your phone to your computer' prompt or a 'TWRP' prompt, connect your phone and press enter.
13. After a short wait, your phone will be rebranded. Note that in About Phone, the correct information will not be displayed until you follow the next step...
14. Now, follow the installation instructions to install firmware matching your new branding.
    You may need to install TWICE. Please use eRecovery method.
    
15. You may see some errors upon boot asking you to do a data format and so on. Please do the data format.
16. If your phone does not boot after the procedure, unplug the usb cable and boot your phone while holding Volume Up to get into recovery. Then choose wipe data, and choose wipe cache. Then your phone will boot.
